Vetiver is in the same family as other grasses used for their essential oils, including lemongrass and citronella. Vetiver oil has quite a few properties that make it a promising ingredient for aromatherapy. It is also used for arthritis, stings, and burns and for nervousness, insomnia and muscle pain.
