Avocado oil is pressed from the fruit of the Persea Americana and is used for a variety of purposes such as cooking, lubrication and cosmetics. Avocado oil is high in oleic acid, an omega-9 fatty acid and is naturally found in animal and plant oils, which improves the blood flow and rejuvenates muscles during exercise. The high protein levels found in avocado oil combined with amino acid content make the oil excellent for tissue regeneration and fighting wrinkles. Also, when left on skin for a short period of time and rinsed with lukewarm water, avocado oil keeps the skin hydrated and prevents excess oil on skin, thereby reducing acne. It’s anti-oxidant properties are also known to relieve the symptoms of sunburn by reducing the itchiness, dry and red skin and soothing the skin.
